Elegant 3 Star Hotel
We were recommended to stay at Royal Kuningan because it is easily accessible to all the Government's offices. From the outside, the building looked old, but once you stepped inside, we were impressed by the interior. The grand staircase and the chandeliers are the best look of the hotel. We took the escalator to the Lobby which is on the 1st floor. The personnel during checking-in were very helpful. Checking it was fast. We booked a Double Deluxe Room. The room is spacious, with warm tones, and has a huge bed, a sofa, a coffee/tea facility, a safe box, the right number of hangers, bedroom sleepers and various channels for the TV that you can choose from. Inside the closet, there is a small door that is connected to the bathroom, it can fit a small person to pass by. I don't know what this is for. The bathroom is a little bit dated and so does the bath towels. No hand and face towels were provided. There wasn't a bathtub which is OK for me. The water that came out from the shower had a foul smell. I had to run the water for a while to let go of the smell first before taking a shower. The place to put soap and shampoo bottles was too small, so I had to put them on the shower floor. The breakfast selection was mainly 90% local Indonesian food. It would be nice to have some small packed cheese and yoghurt in a small tub that you can buy from the supermarket and a good selection of bread. The hotel doesn't provide money-changing services. In the room, you can find 3 international sockets, so you will be able to charge your phone or laptop if you have forgotten to bring an adapter. The lobby and the lounge don't use electrical sockets, which the hotel should consider to change it in future. There is a decent lounge on the ground floor that is perfect for meeting with clients and having some drinks and snacks. We didn't get the chance to try the swimming pool and the sauna, or touring the city due to our packed meeting schedule.
